Experience
I have been a teacher for more than 20 years.
I am a member of the faculty at Howard University, where I hold a joint appointment in the School of Education and the Center for Applied Data Science and Analytics (CADSA). Before Howard, I was a member of the mathematics faculty at Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA.
Prior to Atlanta, I led a group of critical STEM educators, and taught mathematics in Oakland, CA - shoutout to OSA, LPFI, and SEO! I also taught mathematics in New York City and worked as a community educator in Brooklyn - shoutout to HCZ and Groundwork!
I am also the founding director of the Quantitative Histories Workshop, a community-centered teaching and learning lab for students, faculty, and community members. If you are interested in learning more or joining our work, please reach out.

Travel
After living abroad for an extended period, I found traveling to be one of the best ways to learn and to learn how to teach. I have traveled to and led a host of study abroad experiences that internationalism has become a core part of my work. See some of my travel experiences below:
